Covid-19 - What's new in clinic
Although restrictions are being gradually lifted it is important to remember that we are still very much living with COVID-19 and in order to protect everyone visiting the clinic it's necessary to change the way the practice operates to minimise risks all round. I hope the measures described below answer any questions you may have but please feel free to contact me if you're unsure.
-
All appointments are now spaced within 45 minute blocks to allow appropriate ventilation and cleandown.
-
Reduction of nails with the drill will be kept to a minumum to prevent excessive aerosol. Thickened fungal nails will not be reduced with the burr.
-
Access to the building will not be granted until your agreed appointment time - please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before this.
-
Everyone booking in will be required to complete a short triage form before attending confirming their COVID-19 status.
-
The Podiatrist will wear usual PPE - single use gloves and apron, FFP3 mask and vizor where clinically appropriate.
-
Everyone attending an appointment will be required to wear an appropriate face covering and to allow contactless forehead temperature testing on arrival.
-
Only one person will be allowed in the building at a time - anyone accompanying you will need to wait outside of the building.
-
Due to increased costs for PPE and consumables it has been necessary to add a temporary £5 surcharge to the cost of treatment.
-
Due to extended appointment times it will be possible for anyone who wishes to park at the side of the building to do so for the duration of their appointment without express permission . (PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING)
-
If you do not have a face covering it will be possible to purchase a mask in clinic for £1
